Below are a number of the pros of the Outreach Pro theme.
1. Great Theme for Numerous Industries
While Outreach Pro was intended as a theme for church and non-profit websites, it can be used for a number of industries.
In fact, I’ve used Outreach Pro to build my mother’s dog walking website and my father’s construction website.
With a large slider area and smaller content blocks, Outreach Pro has a proven layout for almost any business website.
2. Simple and Fast and SEO Optimized
Built upon the Genesis Framework by the folks at StudioPress (one of the best WordPress theme companies), Outreach Pro is coded solidly.
It’s a lean theme that only has what is needed to build a beautiful website. Nothing more.
Without any bells and whistles, it loads in no time.
Plus, Google usually ranks faster websites higher in it search results. In fact, the head of Google’s search even uses the Framework which Outreach Pro is built upon.
3. Widgetized Homepage
A lot of new WordPress themes give you a blank slate from which to build your site out of shortcodes.
While this allows you complete control over the design, setting these themes up can be difficult and time-consuming.
On the other hand, Outreach Pro uses a widgetized homepage. Instead of shortcodes, you use a couple of widgets built exclusively for Genesis and drag and drop them in designated areas.
This makes building your homepage as simple as building your sidebars.
4. Five Color Schemes
Outreach Pro also comes with 5 different color options.
The default color is green, but you also can select from blue, orange, purple, and red.
Websites built today need to be responsive.
So many people access sites on their phones and tablets that you want your visitors to be able to see your site properly.
Outreach Pro’s responsive design allows your website to look amazing on desktop computers, tablets, and phones.
No review would be complete without talking about the negatives.
1. Few Customization Options
As stated, Outreach Pro has very few customization options.
Aside from the widgetized homepage, color options, and a few other blog options, you don’t really have much ability to customize as you do on other themes.
This is fine if you are looking for a theme that looks great out of the box, but not if you want to make changes to fonts, layouts, or colors.
2. Almost No Built-in Functionality
A lot of themes come with built-in functionality, such as contact forms or sliders.
Outreach Pro requires plugins to add these functionality to your site. For instance, to add a contact form, you will need a contact form plugin like Gravity Forms.
Outreach Pro Review Conclusion
Outreach Pro is a well made theme.
While it does lack many of the customization and functionality options found in other themes, it is perfectly designed for almost any business.
My recommendation would be to use this theme if you are looking for an out of the box solution and don’t have the time to worry about customizing.
